MySQL performance on FreeBSD vs. Linux

Jeff Roberson has done some really impressive work on the FreeBSD scheduler and it reallly shows. I can't wait to see these changes in a -RELEASE system. This makes me wonder if the recent MySQL performance/scalability problems (mentioned here) were more related to Linux than FreeBSD.
